I was fortunate enough to have Marge Lipson as my advisor at UVM. Her knowledge and ability in the field of literacy is expansive and she shares it with everyone through this text book. This is a must have for any educator who helps students with any aspect of literacy. It is a true guide how to assess students, what to look for, and how to interpret and use the results for instructing.
